2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly — when you submit a quote request through our contact form, we collect:
- Name and company name
- Email address and phone number
- Drawing / specification file attachments you upload
- Any message or project details you include
Drawing and specification files are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored on our secure server / Cloudflare R2 storage. Files are accessible only to authorised personnel for quotation purposes.
Information collected automatically — when you browse the site, we and our analytics provider collect:
- IP address, browser and device type, operating system
- Pages viewed, time spent, referring URL and approximate location
- Cookie identifiers (see Section 4)
3. How and Why We Use It (Legal Basis)
- To respond to your quote request — performance of pre-contractual steps / contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To secure the site and prevent abuse — our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To understand site usage and improve content — your consent for non-essential analytics cookies (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
4. Cookies and Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure anonymous, aggregated site traffic. GA4 sets cookies such as
_ga and _ga_* (typical lifetime ~24 months). We do not load GA4 until you have given
consent through our cookie banner; you can withdraw or change your choice at any time.
Essential cookies required for the site to function are exempt from consent. All other cookies are set only after explicit opt-in.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
- Google LLC — provides Google Analytics 4 (data processed in the United States / global regions).
- Cloudflare, Inc. — provides hosting, CDN and security (global edge network).
- Our email / CRM provider — used to receive and manage quote inquiries.
6. International Data Transfers
Because we use Google and Cloudflare, your data may be transferred outside the country where it was collected. For transfers from the European Economic Area (EEA) we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Google's certified safeguards. For data governed by China's PIPL, cross-border transfers follow the mechanisms required under Chinese law. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
7. Data Retention
- Quote-inquiry data: retained up to 3 years after last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
- Google Analytics data: retained per GA4 default settings (typically 14 months), then deleted automatically.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access, rectify or erase your personal data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing)
We will respond to your request within 30 days. Requests should include sufficient information to verify your identity.
To exercise any right, email sales@eternalcnc.com. EU users may also lodge a complaint with their local Data Protection Authority; users in China may contact the competent cyberspace administration.
9. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
